Time to get the calculator out…

Everyone is talking about the new Smash Brothers game, but for those of us who have yet to pick up the latest in the series from Nintendo, there may be another way to pass the time.

A user called Hayleia over on the forums Omnimaga.org (A site dedicated to calculator and computer game programming and music creation of any kind) has managed to get the basics of Super Smash Bros onto the infamous TI83+ ranges of calculators. It is still in an early build with Falco and Fox being the only playable characters. Since the initial post Hayleia has been putting in some serious hours adding more and more features to the game.

Including adding moving platforms and adding the all important damage counter. If you want to help Hayleia with the development you can by stopping by the thread to grab the latest release

All in all this makes for a very impressive addition to the TI Graphing calculators software range adding yet another way to pass the time in class 🙂

Thanks to TinyCartridge for the heads up
