Dave Plays at Insomnia 52

There seemed to be a big influence from Asus this year as well, with most manufacturers taking some kind of Asus Strix peripherals down, they were literally everywhere at I52

Cooler Master were also exhibiting and DavePlays.co.uk caught up with Chris to talk about the NovaTouch TKL. A keyboard that takes a break from the use of Cherry MX and Cherry MX Clone switches by pairing up the very exclusive Topre style switches, but with Cherry MX compatible switch stems. Which means that you won’t have to get rid of all of your keycaps if you get one. After playing with the one on show I can see the draw of Topre……and there is a big but….the expected price of £170 means it will likely be far out of the reach of me…Ignoring the three Ducky keyboards I have now 🙂

A fine selection of mechanical keyboards.

Cooler Master also had some amazing cases, and case mods by Coolmeister on show in fetching red and blue colour schemes. Whilst also having some amazing custom cooling loops installed.

Insomnia 64 - Thoughts and more thoughts
