devolo dLAN 1200 triple+ – Review

In Conclusion

Overall, I am happy with the performance of the devolo dLAN triple+ adapters. The inclusion of three gigabit ports on the second adapter allows for a bit of built in flexibility with the devices you can attach.

The size is something you will need to plan for as they both are quite large devices that take up a fair amount of room. The ports being on top were useful for my configuration but could become a bit messy if the sockets are not near the device you are connecting.

The performance was acceptable, and I believe a lot of the performance issues I noticed were not the fault of the adapters, but merely the wiring in my house and the distance I placed them.

Despite this, they still provided good overall speed and were more than adequate for gaming and streaming from my NAS and other online services.

This kit is available for £129.99 at the moment from Amazon however despite the additional port, I am going to admit I think the Wi-Fi kit (which is the same price currently) is the better choice. Just because it has wider coverage for devices.

The extra LAN port is a nice to have but being resolve Wi-Fi dead spots whilst still having LAN connectivity is a better feature, in my opinion.

Still, I am happy to award the devolo dLAN 1200 triple+ the DavePlays.co.uk bronze award.
