Optoma NuForce uDAC-3 Review

Conclusion

The uDAC-3 is currently available for around £92 depending on the colour choice that you make. It certainly isn’t at the top of the pricing for similar devices it’s certainly not the cheapest available, but its portability means it has a plus over some of the other models. The simple plug and play nature of the uDAC-3 with no additional power requirements is a nice plus. The sound quality from the uDAC-3 is also very good and as stated doesn’t have any problems with distortion when the volume gets loud.

One problem I have is with its lightness, such that if you are using a short audio cable it doesn’t take too much to pull it from its location. I feel that it could have used a bit of extra weight to help keep it in place. The rest of the build quality for the uDAC-3, which is still very good with a nice metal casing which gives it a solid feel.

The uDAC-3 is a nice product one that I can happily award the DavePlays Silver Award.
