GAMDIAS – ZEUS P1 RGB Gaming Mouse Review

In Practice

I have been using the GAMDIAS Zeus P1 for a while now in a quite a few long gaming sessions. It was a bit of a change in feel compared to my Mionix Naos QG (another mouse I have reviewed) which has made its way into becoming my daily gamer.

I mentioned earlier that the GAMDIAS Zeus P1 feels quite large in the hand and is primarily designed for people with a palm style grip. This is despite it actually not being that much taller than my Naos QG.

For the past few weeks me and DanLV have been playing through Sniper Elite 3 and I have been using the ZEUS P1 during that period.

Despite my apprehensions over the size and feel of the mouse it became quite natural to use during long periods of gaming.

The rubberised sides were never a problem and did not suffer from getting slick like other mice I have used. The top side of the mouse has a roughened surface which compliments the side grips and provides a nice surface to rest your palm.

The mouse buttons themselves were nice and clicky, however as GAMDIAS do not seem to give any information over the makers of the buttons or sensor. I had to do a bit of investigation so I opened up the mouse to find out as much as I could.

It seems the sensor is a Pixart 3336DM and surprisingly there is little information available about it other than it being a cut down version of a better sensor. After using it for a few weeks I will say It performed without any issues.

The buttons are all from the same company Huano with two variants in use. The red and black cased switches of the side and DPI buttons being a slightly softer click whereas the white and blue cased switches of the left and right buttons offering a firmer more satisfying click.

I had a play with creating a few macro’s and the software itself and after a bit of time, found that I had amassed quite a large library of little commands to make my day that little bit lazier. But being able to quickly do some smaller tasks is always nice.
